Privacy Policy

This site is run by the Incredible-X Commandos, the Set of 2015 of Command Secondary School, Makurdi. This page explains in plain language what we collect, why, who can see it, and what you can ask us to do.

What we collect

• Your name and email address, provided by your Google account when you sign in.
• The details you enter when registering: full name, day and month of birth, phone numbers, current place of residence, billing address (optional), house at school, occupation, chapter, and marital status and wedding date (both optional).
• Your consent choice at registration.
• Payments you tell us about. When you tap “I have paid”, we record your name, the amount, the purpose (for example monthly set dues), any reference you type, the date, and whether an exco has confirmed it. We never see your bank or card details. Payments are made by bank transfer outside this site.
• RSVPs. When you RSVP to an event, we record your name and how many guests you are bringing.
• Articles. If you write an article, we keep the text and your name as author.

We do not collect passwords, because sign-in is handled by Google. We do not use advertising trackers. The pages load fonts from Google Fonts and code libraries from a public content network, so those services can see your IP address when a page loads.

Why we collect it

To confirm that you belong to our set, to run the member directory and events, to keep track of dues and gifts, and to contact members about events and association business.

Who can see it

• Other approved members can see your name, chapter and occupation in the members-only directory. They can also see whether your monthly dues are up to date (your name appears on a list of members who are up to date). They never see the amount, and they cannot see who is behind on dues.
• Association executives (excos) with admin access can see everything you submitted, including your payment records and who is or is not up to date on dues, in order to manage membership, keep accounts and contact members. This includes sending reminders by phone or WhatsApp about outstanding dues.
• Everyone on the internet can see: the number of people going to an event (never their names), articles an exco has approved (with the author’s name), and public gallery photos.
• Only you can see your own payment records on your account page.

We do not sell your information or share it with advertisers.

Where it is stored

Your details are stored with our database provider, Supabase, in a data centre in Frankfurt, Germany. Sign-in is provided by Google. Event buttons such as “Google Calendar” and “Map” take you to Google’s own services only when you click them.

Your choices

• You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to be removed from the directory and the dues list, at any time.
• You can withdraw your consent. We will then remove your listing.
• Payment records may be kept after you leave, in a form the executives need for the association’s accounts. If you ask us to delete your information, we will tell you what we have to keep and why.

To make a request, contact the association executives using the contact details on the home page. We keep your information only while you remain a member, or until you ask us to delete it, subject to the point above about payment records.

Changes

If we change how we use your information, we will update this page and its date.
